MUTATIS MUTANDIS
felt, fiber, metal, pvc pipe
2026
Stitched together from pieces drawn from a muscle diagram in an anatomy book, this form is a vast tumor grown out of the human body. Mutatis Mutandis — "with the necessary changes" — reworks the rules of anatomy, setting the body's wholeness aside.

Bir anatomi kitabında yer alan kas diyagramından türetilen parçaların yeniden dikilmesiyle oluşan bu form, insan bedeninden yola çıkan dev bir tümör kütlesidir. Mutatis Mutandis, "gerekli değişiklikler yapılarak" anlamına gelen bir terimdir ve insan anatomisinin kurallarının, bedenin bütünlüğü göz ardı edilerek yeniden uyarlanmasına bir göndermedir.
