HAND

The hand—an organ that moves, communicates through gestures, leaves traces, and shapes matter—stands at the center of this work. The forms, originally derived from a single hand shape, evolve through processes of fragmentation, convergence, and multiplication. Rather than following a controlled design, the sculptures take shape through chance-driven processes filled with infinite possibilities. This mode of formation parallels embryonic development and bodily transformation.
The diagrams act as structural traces that determine the direction, rhythm, and pattern of growth. As schematic plans showing how a form is built, they offer an alternative narrative of bodily formation. On one side lies a system that is measured, categorized, and fixed; on the other, a fluid, accidental, and boundless mode of expansion. While diagrams, numbers, and classifications attempt to impose control, the flexibility of the fabric and the indeterminate proliferation of the forms disrupt this order. As we follow the trace of an organism formed by interlinked parts, each form grows by coming into contact with another. Every stitch carries the physical imprint of a new connection.

El, bedenin hareket eden, jestler aracılığıyla iletişim kuran, iz bırakan ve şekillendiren bir uzvu olarak çalışmanın merkezindedir. Başlangıçta tek bir el formundan türeyen bu yapılar, parçalanma, birleşme ve çoğalma süreçleriyle yeni yapılara dönüşmektedir. Heykellerin oluşumu, kontrollü bir tasarımdan çok sonsuz olasılıklar barındıran rastlantısal süreçlerin yönlendirmesiyle şekillenmektedir. Bu süreç, embriyonik gelişim ve bedensel oluşumla da paralellik taşır.
Diyagramlar formların büyüme biçimini, yönünü ve ritmini belirleyen yapısal izlerdir. Formun nasıl inşa edildiğini gösteren şematik birer plan olarak, bedenin biçimlenişine dair başka bir anlatı sunar. Bir yanda ölçülmüş, sınıflandırılmış ve sabitlenmiş bir sistem; diğer yanda ise akışkan, rastlantısal ve sınırsız bir büyüme biçimi bulunur. Diyagramlar, numaralar ve sayılar yapıyı denetim altında tutarken, kumaşın esnekliği ve formun yönsüz çoğalması bu düzeni bozar. Parçaların birbirine bağlanarak oluşturduğu bir organizmanın izini sürerken, her form bir diğerine temas ederek büyür. Her dikiş, yeni bir bağlantının fiziksel izini taşır.
